- Greg Poppleton's movie debut was in Moulin Rouge! (2001) in scenes with Nicole Kidman that were used in the trailer. He has played opposite Adrien Brody and John Goodman.
TV credits include Caper Crew (ABC), Mother & Son Season 2 (ABC), Barons (ABC), The Last Days of the Space Age (Disney +), Year Of (Stan), and many more.
On stage, Greg played Joe Keller in Arthur Miller's 'All My Sons', the Greek philosopher, Soptoros, and John Stark (Scott Joplin's manager) in a one-man show with ragtime orchestra.
He is Australia's only authentic 1920s-30s singer, and is an award-winning national jazz broadcaster with over 40 years on-air.
Greg grew up in Sydney, Australia, the fourth of five children to Bert, a bus driver, and Aileen (Stapleton), a shop worker. He is of English and Irish ancestry.
Poppleton was an engineering consultant and has an honors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Communications from the University of Technology, Sydney.
He is married with two sons.
