- Eric Winstone was born on January 1, 1915 in London, England, UK. He was a composer, known for The Right Person (1955), Atop the Fourth Wall (2008) and Dick Turpin: Highwayman (1956). He died on May 2, 1974 in Pagham, Sussex, UK.
- Expert English piano-accordionist, especially popular between the late 1930's and the late 1950's as a soloist or leader of a swing quartet, made up of accordion, bass, guitar and vibraphone. Also periodically led a larger dance band. Gained much exposure from his radio program "Music While You Work".
