Carolin Reiber was born on November 2, 1940 in Munich, Germany. She is an actress and writer, known for Durch die Wälder durch die Auen (1956), Vater Seidl und sein Sohn (1976) and Olympia - Olympia (1971). She was previously married to Dr. Luitpold Maier.

She worked as a foreign correspondent until 1965, then became a popular TV announcer at the Bayerischen Rundfunk. Later, she hosted the music programs Volkstümliche Hitparade and Wunschkonzert der Volksmusik, a cooking show and the TV quiz show Der große Preis.
