Biography

John Bunyan was born on November 28, 1628 in Harrowden, Northamptonshire, England, UK. He was a writer, known for The Life of John Bunyan (1912), Pilgrim's Progress (1912) and Dangerous Journey (1961). He died on August 31, 1688 in London, England, UK.

His grave is situated in Bunhill Fields Cemetery in London, England.

His play, "Pilgrim's Progress" at A Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago, Illinois was nominated for a 2016 Joseph Jefferson (Equity) Award for Midsize Play Production.

Imprisoned for preaching without a license.

He traveled to Reading to preach the gospel and to make peace between a father and son who had become alienated. After he had made the peace, he returned to London on horseback through a very heavy rainstorm. He caught a cold and this developed into a fever, of which he died after ten days.
