Biography

Bill Mellen was born in Queens, New York and grew up mostly on Long Island, with a brief stint in Northwest New Jersey. Brooklyn has been home since 1984. Bill started acting at 19, in the theatre, and only went pro at the age of 53, acting for the cameras since then. Casting directors have commented on Bill's quiet authority on screen, leading to roles as detectives and other authority figures. Bill has played lawyers, both serious, on TV and film, and humorously in a TV commercial.
