Cusato still stands as the first woman to have ever won the coed California State Beach Lifeguard "Rookie School" - a 7 day competition/training held in Huntington Beach. Ranked #1 overall - 1993.

Training for her black belt in Yoshukai Karate.

She was a California State Beach Lifeguard in Malibu and Santa Barbara.

After accepting a position and a signing bonus with Arther Anderson, LLP her senior year of college, she gracefully turned down their offer after graduation and started working as an actress full time.

Ashley was Arther Anderson's top recruit and participated in their leadership conference in Chicago her junior year.

James Toback originally wrote the lead female role, "Cindy Bandolini", in his film Harvard Man (2001) for Ashley. The financing fell through at the last minute and the film wasn't made until Sarah Michelle Gellar called Toback after seeing his film, Black & White (1999), years later.
