Biography

Ladislav Zupanic was born on August 9, 1943 in Prostejov, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia [now Czech Republic]. He was an actor and writer, known for The Mysterious Castle in the Carpathians (1981), Bakalári (1972) and All My Tomorrows (2014). He was married to Hana Nováková, Jana Drbohlavová and Helena Drahotová. He died on December 9, 2023 in Prague, Czech Republic.

He was a Czech actor and voice actor .

In March 2016, he received the Thália Award for lifetime acting-singing excellence in the musical-operetta category.

After graduating from JAMU in Brno, Ladislav Zupanic started his career at the popular Paravan theater.

In addition to theater, he also created a number of film and dubbing roles. His dubbing roles include dubbing actors such as Clint Eastwood .

From 1970 he started his career at the Karlín Music Theater, where he worked as a director from 1993-2003. During his era, the theater received a total of eight Thalia Awards (1995 Yvetta Blanarovicová , 1996 Jitka Molavcová , 1997 Lubomir Lipsky , 1998 Ladislav Zupanic, 1999 Jan Jezek , 2000 Tomás Cerny , 2001 Lumir Olsovský and 2002 Daniela Sinkorová ).
