- Konstantin Zheldin is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor. Honored Artist of the Russian SFSR.
During his school years, he actively participated in amateur performances, recited, and performed in amateur plays. By high school, he had firmly decided he wanted to become an actor. Only at the age of 24 did circumstances allow him to enroll in a theater school. In 1961, he graduated from the B.V. Shchukin Theater School, Vladimir Etush's course. From 1962 to 1963, he was an actor at the Malaya Bronnaya Theater. From 1966 to 2000, he worked at the Taganka Theater. In 2001, he began performing at the Moscow Theater 'Near the Stanislavsky House'.
He began acting in 1960, debuting in the film Michman Panin (1960). He gained widespread fame in 1969 after playing the Captain Osipov in the series Adyutant ego prevoskhoditelstva (1970), directed by Evgeniy Tashkov. In 1973, Konstantin Zheldin played his most famous screen role, in the series Seventeen Moments of Spring (1973), directed by Tatyana Lioznova.
