Biography

Giuseppe Zangara was born on September 7, 1900 in Calabria, Italy. He died on March 20, 1933 in Raiford, Florida, USA.

He attempted against the life of president Franklin D. Roosevelt, firing six shots from a revolver, during Roosevelt's speech in Miami, Florida, on February 15, 1933. While the president was not hit, Chicago mayor Anton J. Cermak was fatally wounded and died. Zangara was executed in the following month.
