Frank Zane is a professional bodybuilder. Zane's first forays were focused into boxing and wrestling. But a little later, he acquired a specialized weightlifting kit. After two weeks of training, the young champion began to notice results. After that, Zane trained intensively for four years straight and, at 18, competed in his first bodybuilding competition. Besides sports, Zane loved reading, studying, and discovering new things. He became interested in psychology. He graduated from high school in 1960 and enrolled at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania, where he received his bachelor's degree in 1964. In 1977, he graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Frank moved to Florida, where he met his future wife, Christina. He then trained intensively and competed in numerous competitions. In 1968, he won the IFBB Mr. Universe competition, beating Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. In 1977, 1978 and 1979 he won the Mr. Olympia title and became a three-time winner of the title of the best bodybuilder on the planet.
Zane spent 22 years in competitive bodybuilding. During this time, he earned over 150 awards. For this achievement, Frank was inducted into the World Bodybuilding Hall of Fame in 1994.
