Biography

In the winter of 1942, he became a student at the Tashkent Polytechnic, but was drafted into active service in 1943. He fought from May 1944 and once saved his commander from their burning M10 Wolverine. In June 1944, he served as a radio operator in the 1223rd Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment of the 3rd Belorussian Front during a breakthrough near Orsha. With a brief interruption due to an injury, he served with the regiment until the end of the war. After the war, he became a member of Military Unit No. 74256 in the Northern Group of Forces (Poland).

One of Vladimir Zamanskiy best roles is that of Alexander Lazarev in Alexei German's military drama 'Street Control' (1971). At the beginning of World War II, Lazarev is captured by the Germans, collaborates with them, and then joins the partisans. For this role, Vladimir Samansky received the USSR State Prize in 1988, and a year later he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR .

He played more than eighty roles in films, television plays and series - mainly military, party and industrial workers.

As a boy, he grew up without a father, and when the Germans came to Kremenchuk in 1941, he was left without a mother. He deceived the commission and increased his age, joined the Red Army, and volunteered for the front.
