Abdel Rahman Abou Zahra was born on 8 March 1934 in Damietta, Egypt. He was an actor, known for Land of Fear (1999), The Island (2007) and Shabab el-Yom (1958). He was married to Salwa Al Rafei. He died on 11 May 2026 in El Sheikh Zayed City, Giza, Egypt.

He worked at the National Theatre in 1959.

He is known for being the first and only Arabic voice actor to get a certificate from Disney as the best voice of Scar worldwide as in the Egyptian Arabic dub of the Lion King (1994).
