Fernanda Young was born on May 1, 1970 in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was an actress and writer, known for Macho Man (2011), Normal People (2001) and Separação?! (2010). She was married to Alexandre Machado. She died on August 25, 2019 in Paraisópolis, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Was a mother, with husband Alexandre Machado, of four children: twin daughters, Estela May and Cecilia Madonna (b. March 19, 2000), and two adopted children, daughter Catarina Lakshimi (b. November 10, 2008) and son John Gopala (b. July 21, 2009).

In 2007, she miscarried a baby girl at 4 months along which led her and her husband Alexandre Machado to the decision to adopt children. They adopted two children in 2010.
