Biography

Kōzaburō Yoshimura was born on September 9, 1911 in Hiroshima, Japan. He was a director and writer, known for The Ball at the Anjo House (1947), Clothes of Deception (1951) and A Night to Remember (1962). He died on November 7, 2000 in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan.

Worked from 1929 as assistant director to Yasujiro Shimazu at Japan's Shochiku studios. Started to direct his own film just prior to World War II. After the war, formed an independent production company with Kaneto Shindo.
