- Pete York was born on August 15, 1942 in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England, UK. He is an actor and writer, known for The Souvenir (2019), 00 Schneider - Im Wendekreis der Eidechse (2013) and Nature and Time (1976).
- York is rock and jazz drummer. He was a member of the Spencer Davis Group until 1969, he then formed the duo Hardin and York with Eddie Hardin. Since then he has played with many other musicians, he has been playing with Helge Schneider's jazz band on and off since 2004.
