Biography

Sönmez Yıkılmaz was born on December 12, 1940 in Rize, Turkey. He was an actor and producer, known for Silaha Yeminliydim (1987), Yillardan Sonra (2003) and Three Giant Men (1973). He died on June 2, 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey.

He owns a coffeehouse, and often chats with customers about his movie making days. He lives at the top floor of his shop.

He has a rather unusual name. His name Sönmez means "everlasting fire" and his surname Yikilmaz means "unbeatable, indomitable".

Has played characters named Ramo (in a Turkish Rambo ripoff) Rambo, and Ramazan.
