Biography

Takashi Yamaguchi was born on November 17, 1936 in Hyogo, Japan. He was an actor, known for Bandits vs. Samurai Squadron (1978), Maboroshi Tantei: Kyôfu no uchûjin (1960) and Zoku sûpâ jaiantsu (1957). He died on April 18, 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.

In 1974, after dropping out of Waseda University, he formed the theater company "Kageiza".

His eldest son is named Taro.

In 1966 he received the Elan d'or Award for Newcomer of the Year.

Takashi Yamaguchi was a Japanese actor, television presenter, Nagauta shamisen player, and folklore researcher.

In addition to his acting career, in 1978 he became the second host of TV Asahi's Quiz Time Shock , where he gained popularity for his bright, friendly style of speaking and humorous hosting, and served until the final episode aired on March 27, 1986 .
