German actor/director, mainly active on the classical stage, the son of theatre director Hans Wölffer and his wife Else Boy, an actress.

In 1988, Wölffer founded the privately-owned Komödie Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg, followed by the boulevard theatre Comödie Dresden in 1996.

On stage from 1958, following private acting tuition under Herma Clement (1898-1973).

Stepson of Ingeborg Körner.
