- Swedish author, journalist, feminist philosopher and debater. Her writing often dealt with working women and with women's suffrage. She was planning to write a biography of novelist/reformer Fredrika Bremer when she passed away in 1949.
- Elin's husband, John Landquist (1881-1974), was a literary critic and professor of pedagogy and psychology in Lund. After they separated, in 1938 he married Solveig Landquist (b. 1910), who published the book _Den Goda Viljan: Ett Liv Med John Landquist_ (A good will: a life with John Landquist).
