Biography

Helen Wynn was born on January 17, 1907 in Iron County, Utah, USA. She was an actress, known for These Thirty Years (1934). She was married to Shepperd Strudwick. She died in March 1978 in Moroni, Grande Comore.

Had a 15-year affair with Bill Wilson, the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, and well known for his book "My Name Is Bill" which chronicles his turbulent life battle with the bottle. The long-term affair did not dissolve Bill's 53-year marriage to Lois Burnham who devoted her life to Bill's personal mission.

Appeared on Broadway with husband Shepperd Strudwick in productions of "As You Like It" (1937) and "The Three Sisters" (1939) in which she played Olga to his Vershinin. The couple had one son, Shepperd Strudwick III, before divorcing in the 1940s.
