Biography

Christopher Wynkoop was born on December 7, 1943 in Long Branch, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor, known for Ghostbusters (1984), Summer of Sam (1999) and Pootie Tang (2001). He died on May 4, 2020.

Christopher Wynkoop might have counted himself a direct descendant of a signer of the U.S. Declaration of Independence if not for a freak accident. Judge Wynkoop (1737-1812) was on his way to the signing with his wife when the horse startled, overturning their buggy. Mrs. Wynkoop was thrown in a well and drowned.

Graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (New York City) in 1965.
