Biography

Emmy Wyda was born on March 2, 1876 in Danzig, Pomerania, Germany. She was an actress, known for The Last Laugh (1924), The Gala Performance (1932) and Höhenluft (1917). She died on January 22, 1942 in Berlin, Germany.

During World War II she appeared only in few more movies like "Nanette" (1940) and "Aufruhr im Damenstift" (1941).

She began her career at the theater at the end of the 19th century and she acted on numerous stages till she came to Berlin in 1904. She soon became established as a demanded theater actress in the capital city of Germany as well and in 1913 she joined the film business.

Emmy Wyda was engaged for many support roles again during the 20s and she took part in some important productions of those years.

She continued her film career during the sound film era of the 30s and she acted in "Der tolle Bomberg" (1932), "Spione im Savoy-Hotel" (1932), Der Dschungel ruft" (1936), "Wie einst im Mai" (1938) and "Grossalarm" (1938).
