Biography

Rebecca Wright was born on December 5, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio, USA. She was an actress, known for The Nutcracker (1977), The CBS Festival of Lively Arts for Young People (1973) and The Fox Affair (1978). She was married to George De La Pena and Charles Spaeth. She died on January 29, 2006 in Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA.

Choreographed, appeared on television and starred on Broadway where she received a Drama Desk nomination as best supporting actress for her performance as Philomena, in the 1983 musical "Merlin."

Director of the dance program at Adelphi University.

Children: Matthew, Alexander.

Was a principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet from 1966 to 1975 and a soloist with American Ballet Theatre from 1975 until 1982.
