- Jim Wright was an actor, known for The Old Music (1985) and Nothing But a Man (1964). He died on February 4, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
- First met John Wayne when Jim was an extra on The Fighting Seabees (1944). After that, was longtime friends with "The Duke" and his family from then on. Appeared in other Wayne films, like The Alamo (1960), where Jim had acting and stunt work.
