- Bob Wright was born on September 25, 1914 in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA. He was a composer, known for Music in My Heart (1940), Raging Bull (1980) and Money Talks (1997). He died on July 27, 2005 in Miami, Florida, USA.
- Won a Tony Award in 1954 for "Kismet" as adapter of Aleksandr Borodin's music and as lyricist with Chet Forrest, among others who contributed to the Best Musical win. In 1990, he was nominated for music and lyrics with Forrest and Maury Yeston for Best Score (Musical) for "Grand Hotel, the Musical".
- His songwriting partnership with Chet Forrest lasted for 70 years, until Forrest's death in 1999.
- According to his New York Times obituary, he played the piano for both singer Helen Morgan and dancer Sally Rand before he went to work in Hollywood.
- Leading his own orchestra while a teenager, he also was a Tony-winning songwriter and lyricist (for the musical "Kismet, which produced "Strangers in Paradise" and "Baubles, Bangles and Beads"). Partnered with Chet Forrest, their last corroboration was the Broadway show "Grand Hotel."
