Eric was a Montana All-State football player for Columbia Falls H.S. and walked on for 2 seasons as a kicker for the Montana State Bobcats, including their 1976 national championship season! After completing 2 years of college in Bozeman, Eric caught the "movie bug" & headed to Hollywood. He connected with film editors and other professionals that helped him get started as a crew member, production asst. & later the director of his own film, titled "Sandman" and shot in his hometown of Columbia Falls.
Eric's parents were prominent members of the Columbia Falls community for decades. His father, Ed, was plant manager at the Anaconda Aluminum Co. and wife, Minnie, helped raise Eric and his siblings Carol, Ilene & Edwin.
