Biography

Herta Worell was born on September 20, 1908 in Olmütz, Moravia, Austria-Hungary [now Olomouc, Czech Republic]. She was an actress, known for Mädchen in Weiß (1936), Wolken am Himmel (1965) and Die lustigen Vagabunden (1940). She died on April 5, 1996 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

Czech-born German comedy actress and dancer, on stage in Berlin from 1932. In films mainly as a supporting player.

She continued her film career after the war and took part in well-known productions like "Unter den Sternen von Capri" (1953), "Die Sendung der Lysistrata" (1961), the serial "Der Forellenhof" (1965), the serial "Die Schlüssel" (1965), "Und der Regen verwischt jede Spur" (1972) and "Alle Menschen werden Brüder" (1973).

The actress Herta Worell began her career at different theaters in Berlin before she made her film debut in 1933.

To her early movies belong "Schloss Hubertus" (1934), "Roman eines Arztes" (1939) and "Akrobat Schööön!" (1943) with the famous clown Charlie Rivel.

From the middle of the 70's, during the time of crisis of the German film industry she also appeared in some shallow sex movies like "Drei Schwedinnen in Oberbayern" (1977).
