Prior to her "Debbie Does Dallas" fame as Bambi Woods, she appeared in an October 1978 Hustler magazine photo feature as "Laura".

In the December 2023 article "Bambi Before Dallas", Capri Show World disclosed that Ms. Woods was born in Brooklyn, NY, in late summer 1960, and grew up in Long Island, NY. In support of this new data they cited a 1980 interview on the "Late Late Blue" television show and provided a picture of her from a 1975 yearbook.
