Biography

Award-winning writer, producer, director, and sound professional Woody Woodhall, CAS, has worked in Hollywood since the early 1990s.

Getting his start working professionally in NYC and CT in theatre, he was highly influenced by his work with talents like Christopher Walken, Keir Dullea, Morton DaCosta and many other bright lights of Broadway.

As a writer and director, Woody has created award winning films such as "Protocol", "Why Do I Exist", and the television pilot "Contact High" which won Best Director at the 2021 Seattle Film Festival.

In 2000, with his wife and partner Wendy, they began a post audio business called Allied Post. Woody oversaw the building of various post audio facilities and managed complete post audio supervision for film and TV, from budgeting, crews, while keeping up with the ever-changing technology and network deliverables.

He is author of the college textbook, "Audio Production and Postproduction" used as an audio 101 course at Universities worldwide. He was also a technical writer for Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve, specifically writing the Fairlight sections of the manual.

In 2008, Woody and Wendy started the Los Angeles Post Production Group, LAPPG. a networking community for knowledge about post production. Growing exponentially over the years, now a worldwide membership of over 5000 individuals. With over 170 live events produced to date, this thriving community continues to grow and evolve along with the post production technology.
