Biography

Virginia Wood was born on September 30, 1930 in Port Angeles, Washington, USA. She was an actress, known for The Destructors (1967), A Man Called Dagger (1968) and Lady in Cement (1968). She was married to Clarence Carlat. She died on April 28, 2008 in Kalispell, Montana, USA.

Moved to Eastern Montana as a young teen and subsequently earned the title of "Montana Bonanza Queen" in 1949. She was offered a 20th Century-Fox contract but turned it down to raise her four sons.

After her marriage of ten years broke up, she pursued Hollywood and acting in the 1960s.

She eventually retired back to Montana and spent much of her time painting and sculpting.

The May 6, 1970, issue of Variety, in the Italian Films Shooting section, lists a movie Zigzag presently filming in Yugoslavia and Italy, Director Maurizio Lucidi, with cast Ty Hardin, John Smith, and Virginia Wood. Produced by Ika Panajotovic with Cabot Films and Prodi. No evidence this film was completed or released.
