- During Bolton Wanderers match against Charlton Athletic on 25th April 1997 Kenneth was asked to repeat the words of the 1966 World Cup Final which had made him famous "They think it's all over it is now", the reason for this was because Bolton where playing their final game at their old Burnden Park ground and they felt it would be a fitting tribute if one of their most famous supporters was to be involved in the final ever game at that stadia, an act which he duly obliged.
- Served in the RAF in WW2 and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his job which was to fly a lightweight Mosquito aircraft and mark the enemy target with flares so that the following bombers could accurately hit their target.
