Biography

Lothar Wolff was born on May 13, 1909 in Bromberg, Posen, Germany [now Bydgoszcz, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Poland]. He was an editor and assistant director, known for Martin Luther (1953), Man on a String (1960) and The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1933). He died on October 2, 1988 in New York City, New York, USA.

Under the auspices of the Agency for International Development, he spent two years in Indonesia after World War II, assisting the country in developing its film industry.

German-born documentary producer/director, a former press agent. In the U.S. from 1936, he worked for many years as chief editor on "The March of Time" documentary series and was subsequently associated with National Geographic, Time-Life Films and Louis de Rochemont Associates.
