Trivia

  • His draft of the screenplay for Judge Dredd (1995) was darker, less goofy, and more serious, after the director hired two of his friends to rewrite Wisher's script, making it more comic book like, Wisher left the project. As a form of an apology, producer Andrew G. Vajna offered Wisher the chance to rewrite the script for Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), which was in production.

  • As a kid he was a fan of the television shows Combat! (1962), F Troop (1965), and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964).
  • He had seen Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) seven times the weekend that it opened.
