- Son of special effects wizard Stan Winston
- Along with Jeffrey Combs and Gary Graham, he is one of only three actors, besides the regulars to appear in all four seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise (2001).
- On two of his roles, he played a beauty pageant announcer: Little Miss Sunshine (2006) and in one episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005).
