Biography

Anona Winn was born on January 5, 1904 in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia. She was an actress, known for Someone to Watch Over Me (1987), On the Air (1934) and My Lucky Star (1933). She was married to Frederick William John Lamport. She died on February 2, 1994 in Bournemouth, England, UK.

Singer, actress, and in Britain a radio favourite on shows such as "Twenty Questions". Also played parts on stage such as Peter in Peter Pan! Was the first artiste to ever broadcast in Australia.

She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1954 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to the British Sailors' Society.
