Anica Osmond

Anica Celeste Osmond was born July 8, 1980 in Utah. She is of mixed European and Central American ancestry and is a second cousin of Donny and Marie Osmond.
Her paternal grandparents were performers in the 1960’s and 1970’s and sang as an operatic duo. At the time of her birth, Osmond’s family were active members of the Mormon church and she was raised in a tight-knit Latter Day Saint community.
Osmond’s education in the performing arts began as a child. In the early 1990’s her family moved to the country music hub of Branson, Missouri where her father worked as a sound engineer and drummer. As a young teen, Anica attended The Branson Performing Arts Academy, where she studied drama, ballet, musical theatre and voice.
After Osmond's parents divorced, her mother returned with her family to Utah where Anica was enrolled in Timpview High School and continued to receive theatre, dance and vocal training. In 1997, after winning a model search contest, Osmond skipped her senior year of high school and signed with McCarthy Talent Agency in Salt Lake City. There, she learned fashion modeling skills and how to walk for runway. She was 17 when she began working as a professional actor and model.
Osmond got her first major role in the independent film The Creator's Game (1999). She played Delana Cloud, a headstrong Native American teenager who navigates cultural barriers to change the fate of a Lacrosse team. For The Creator’s Game, Osmond worked with actor/ director Al Herrington of Hawaii Five-0 and Canadian actor, Dakota House. Her performance as Delana Cloud required that she learn how to play lacrosse, a skill that capitalized on Osmond's zeal for sports and fitness.
After minor roles in Cowboys and Angels (2000) and Primary Suspect (2000), Osmond moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where she continued modeling and acting, working both on independent and union projects for television and film. She joined Hawaii’s actors network to lobby for state sponsored incentives and bring film projects to The Hawaiian Islands. One of Osmond’s first jobs in Honolulu was as an extra in Adam Sandler’s experimental, dark comedy, Punch Drunk Love (2002). During the filming, Osmond was impressed with how well Sandler handled the crowds of fans.
While living in Hawaii, Osmond pursued a secondary career as an athletic trainer. She assisted with the island’s semi-professional football team and repeatedly helped athletes prepare for The Honolulu Marathon and Iron Man World Championships. During those years, Osmond was featured in episodes of Baywatch Hawaii (2001) and Hawaii Five-0 (2011).
In 2013, Osmond took on another stunt-heavy role as The Renegade Angel, Scylencia. She played the provocative, demon slaying warrior in the independent film Jackie Claxton, Battles From Beyond (2013). Scylencia quickly became a fan favorite, inspiring spin-offs, fan-fiction, anime and art in both Hawaii and Brazil where the franchise was popular.
In 2015, Osmond relocated to Victoria, Australia to be with her then partner, Troy Brown. In Melbourne, she was cast as Mr. Taylor's New Partner in the Australian television mini-series, Barracuda (2016) which won an Equity Ensemble Award for Outstanding Performance By A Cast in 2017. Osmond also appeared on the popular Australian TV show "Neighbours" and in 2019, she played the part of Trix Baxter, an American socialite trying to control her estranged sister, in the independent feature film, Colour Blind (2019). The film also showcased "V" actress, Jane Badler as Mrs. Baxter, Trix’s mother.
As a teenager, Osmond had previously been introduced to actor and stunt performer, Ric Taylor on the set of The Creator's Game (1999). They married four years later when she was 21. However, not long afterward, the couple announced their separation and subsequently split in 2003. In 2006, Osmond married voice actor, David Washington Jr. with whom she has one daughter (b. 2006). Osmond and Washington divorced in 2012 with Osmond receiving custody of their daughter. Osmond was later married to an Australian, Troy Brown (m. 2014 - 2021) but their relationship ended at the height of the COVID pandemic. After returning to The United States, Osmond was reunited with longtime friend and business partner, Alex D. Levin (m. 2024 - present). The couple married in December of 2024 and reside in California..
