Was the very first female presenter of Blue Peter (1958) when it began in October 1958. Presented with Christopher Trace until 8 January 1962.

Leila Williams now lives in East London with her daughter. (June 2018)

Her husband Fred Mudd was a member of the singing group The Mudlarks.
