Kate Williams was born in 1941 in London, England, UK. She is an actress, known for May to December (1989), Quadrophenia (1979) and Widows (1983).

Trained at London's East 15 Acting School.

Is one of 14 regular EastEnders (1985) actors to have appeared on Call the Midwife (2012) either in a main or a guest starring role. The others are Cliff Parisi, Lorraine Perez, Tilly Vosburgh, Lacey Turner, Jenna Russell, Kacey Ainsworth, Matilda Ziegler, Ted Reilly, Jasmyn Banks, Danny Walters, Lucy Speed, Anita Dobson and Maggie O'Neill.
