Biography

Seth Willenson was born on June 12, 1947 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He was a producer and actor, known for Gas Food Lodging (1992), Beneath Loch Ness (2001) and Top Dog (1995). He was married to Claire. He died on March 18, 2022 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Started his 52-year entertainment industry career in 1970 when he became the second hire at New Line Cinema where he pioneered a the Midnight Movie starting the 1936 anti-cannabis propaganda film "Reefer Madness".

After his stint at New Line he was Corporate VP of Acquisitions for RCA SelectaVision Video.

Was Senior VP of Programming and Promotion for United Satellite Communications Inc followed by a stint as VP of Paramount TV Group.

He served as SVP of Films Inc, the exclusive 16mm non-theatrical distributor for MGM, Paramount and 20th Century Fox.

Spent the last 20 years of his entertainment industry career as president of his own banner Seth Willenson, Inc., producing and offering his services as a media and marketing consultant, for many companies including GoodTimes Home Video, Working Title Films, Scholastic Entertainment, Nelvana Films, Paramount Pictures, New Line Cinema, PolyGram, Blockbuster Video, Saul Zaentz, Harry Thomason and The Disney Channel.
