- During the filming of "Creature from the Black Lagoon" the creature was supposed to be played by Ricou Browning. Browning experienced problems adjusting to the suit underwater. So a stuntman with underwater scuba experience (Chuck Willcox) was hastily hired to finish filming. Part of the deal was that Willcox could not take credit for the film.
