Biography

Marty Wilde was born on April 15, 1939 in Blackheath, England, UK. He is a composer and actor, known for Fletch (1985), Clueless (1995) and Bio-Dome (1996). He has been married to Joyce Smith since December 2, 1959. They have four children.

His children are, from eldest to youngest: daughter, singer-actress Kim Wilde; son, songwriter-producer Ricki Wilde; daughter, Roxanne Wilde; son, Marty Wilde Jr..

Father-in-law of Hal Fowler.

Rock 'n' roll and ballad singer of the 1950s onwards whose cover versions of US hits made him for a time the UK's foremost pop stars.

He was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2017 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to Popular Music in Tewin, Hertfordshire, England.
