Biography

Dieter Wien was born on October 13, 1934 in Free City of Danzig [now Gdansk, Pomorskie, Poland]. He is an actor and director, known for Liebesau - die andere Heimat (2001), Karl May (1992) and The Miscellaneous Brigade on the Watch (1971). He is married to Madeleine Lierck.

Father of Fabian Oscar Wien.

Son-in-Law of Werner Lierck.

Ensemble member of the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin from 1964 to 2001.

Prolific German stage, screen and voice actor. First apprenticed as a printer, he turned to acting and appeared on the stage from 1952 in Halle.
