Biography

Hanne Wieder was born on May 8, 1925 in Hannoversch Münden, Germany. She was an actress, known for Rosemary (1958), The Exorcist (1973) and Marili (1959). She was married to Heinz Schimmelpfennig. She died on May 11, 1990 in Feldafing, Bavaria, Germany.

Deep-voiced German actress and cabaret artiste of the 1960's and 70's. In films and on television, she usually played frivolous or seductive roles. She enjoyed considerable success on the stage as singer of Cole Porter tunes in the musicals "Can Can" and "Kiss Me Kate". She also recorded chansons and was the German dubbing voice of the devil in "The Exorcist".
