Biography

Stanford Whitmore was born on July 23, 1925 in Sioux City, Iowa, USA. He was a writer, known for Hammersmith Is Out (1972), Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre (1963) and The Dark (1979). He died on May 8, 2014.

Raised South Side Chicago. Public schools. USMC 1943-46, gunner dive and torpedo bombers. A.B. Stanford University 1950, M.A. 1954. Published novel "SOLO" 1955. Married, two children.
