Biography

Dick White is known for Apocalypse Now (1979) and Cross My Heart (1987).

Served as an aerial co-ordinator for the helicopter scenes in Apocalypse Now, and narrowly avoided a fatal crash when a stone just missed his helicopter's rear rotor blade.

Was Coppola's personal helicopter pilot during the filming of Apocalypse Now, and the one who flew Martin Sheen to the hospital during his near-fatal heart attack on set in the Philippines.

Was a real combat pilot in Vietnam.
