Roman Weyl was born on 30 July 1921 in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. He was a production designer and costume designer, known for Der Schimmelreiter (1978), Wer seine Frau lieb hat (1955) and Adrian, der Tulpendieb (1966). He was married to Susanne Wisten. He died in January 2011 in Berlin, Germany.
