Biography

Robert Westerby was born on July 3, 1909 in Hackney, London, England, UK. He was a writer, known for The Spider and the Fly (1949), War and Peace (1956) and The Magical World of Disney (1954). He was married to Elizabeth. He died on November 16, 1968 in Los Angeles County, California, USA.

He had two daughters with his first wife. His second wife, Elizabeth, was an assistant on the Mickey Mouse show.

British novelist and film writer. An amateur boxer in his youth, he wrote many early magazine articles and stories centred around that sport. As a writer of screenplays, he was employed at Disney's Burbank studio from 1961 until his death in 1968.

Of 14 of his novels 6 were bought for films. In addition to those already filmed 11 others are in various stages of preparation.

Has 2 daughters, 1 an actress 1 an advertising agent.

In 1957 with co writers Bridget Boland and King Vidor won the Christopher Award presented by the American Catholic Critics for 'War and Peace.
