Matt graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 1999 with a concentration in cinematography. He has worked in a variety of capacities on different types of projects over his career, including as an editor and field producer for live television news following 9/11, production manager for numerous independent projects and commercials, location scout and manager for feature films, and most recently as a producer on commercial and short form projects. His commercial work has earned him two Sports Emmy awards and an AICP Award honoring Excellence in Production.
