Snag Werris was born on August 9, 1910 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for If I'm Lucky (1946), Take It or Leave It (1944) and Four Jills in a Jeep (1944). He died on February 27, 1987 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

As reported by his daughter, Wendy Werris, Snag Werris died of natural causes in 1987. He was not beaten to death, as Jack Carter falsely said.

According to Jack Carter, who had hired him as a writer, Werris' daughter told him that he had been beaten to death in a street robbery.
