Biography

Arabella Weir was born on December 6, 1957 in San Francisco, California, USA. She is an actress and writer, known for The Fast Show (1994), Posh Nosh (2003) and Colette (2018). She is married to Dr Jeremy Norton. They have two children.

Played the Doctor in one of the Doctor Who Unbound audio plays.

She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2024 King's New Years Honours List for her services to the Arts and to Young People. She is the Artistic Director of the Kirkcaldy Festival of Ideas and a Trustee for Theirworld Children's Charity in London, England.

Arabella and her partner Jeremy have a daughter Isabella.

Arabella's father is Sir Michael Weir, a former British ambassador.

Arabella has two older brothers Andrew and Matthew and a younger sister, Christina.
